Product Introduction

This Bolivar comes in a Grand Corona format. It's a Habanos edicion limitada introduced in 2014 and hand - made. In the UK, it costs £17 each. Its factory name is Hermosos No. 3 corresponding to a 5.5 x 48 size.

Pre - light

It has a slightly earthy smell, is well - packed but pliant. It has a fresh “green” taste of tobacco, moss, and grass, and has an excellent draw through the largest hole punch of a Victorinox Cigar Penknife.

Taste Phases

  • One third: It's very mild, suitable after a light meal or earlier in the day. There's a slight spiciness like fruit cake mingled with chocolate, and it burns excellently and evenly with a nice ash stack formation.
  • Two thirds: The cigar warms up, releasing stronger chocolate flavours, milky coffee, and some woody hints, possibly oak. The ash holds to 2 inches, burns evenly, the wrapper stays intact, and the draw is pleasant.
  • Three thirds: A slight bite appears, with white pepper, dark chocolate, and a stronger burnt wood taste. The smoke remains velvety.

Overall, it's a mild to medium - bodied cigar with clear and uncomplicated flavours. It pairs well with coffee or a light drink and can be enjoyed at lunchtime. Its construction is excellent and is priced competitively compared to a Partagas D4.
