, By: John Smith
  • Brand: Cohiba
  • Length: 6.1 inches (155 mm)
  • Ring Gauge: 42
  • Score: B

General Information

Part of the Siglo series, it's crafted in Corona Grande format. Originating from Cuba in 2007, it's hand - made, weighs 10.14 g, and costs $14+ each.

Appearance and Pre - draw

The cigar is eye - catching, with yellow bands and a tan - colored wrapper. There's a small hole on the cap, which may aid the draw. The pre - draw leaves a soft, earthy tobacco taste.

Smell

It has a strong Spanish cedar smell, indicating good care.

Taste

  • One third: Starts very sweet, mixed with an earthy and grassy - sweet flavor, like grass and sugar cubes, soft and mellow.
  • Two thirds: Flavors remain similar.
  • Three thirds: Roasted chocolate joins the grassy and sweet flavors, making a perfect ending.

The cigar is incredibly smooth from the first to the last puff.

Construction

It has an excellent burn. The draw is a bit tight at the start but improves. The ash is very white with a few dark grey spots.

Although the reviewer believes the cigar is young, with age, the flavors may become bolder and more full - bodied.
