Product Introduction
The H. Upmann Royal Robusto Cigar comes in a box of 10 pieces. It is a special edition limited to La Casa del Habano stores worldwide, released in October 2011. Only 5,000 boxes were created.
Appearance
The cigar's wrapper has an irregular shade of brown with many small darker spots. It is bumpy and has prominent veining. However, its slightly rustic appearance, combined with a perfect triple cap and a top - notch roll, makes it attractive.
Construction
After clipping the triple cap, it has a comfortable draw with the right amount of resistance. It burns very slowly as it is tightly packed and has a super - thick wrapper. The ash is white, rock - solid, and holds for over 2 inches. The white aromatic smoke is not as thick as desired.
Flavor
- One third: It starts with toasted notes with well - balanced flavors, including spice, gingerbread, and cinnamon. The flavors are meaty.
- Two thirds: Raisins, dried apricots, and honey flavors appear, then woody notes start to dominate.
- Three thirds: It becomes full - bodied with strong leather notes and the freshness of tobacco.
Value
It is priced at 105 EUR per box of 10 at LCDH Knokke, which is considered a solid value.
