Product Introduction
La Gloria Cubana Gloriosos is a Regional Edition made by Habanos SA for the UK market. Supposed to be released in 2008, it hit the market in January 2009 due to delays. Only 2040 boxes of 10 cigars were produced.
Appearance
It has moderate veining, natural color, and a redesigned band. It smells of honey. A pre-draw reveals spicy notes with dominant dry wood.
Construction
It has a comfortable draw and burns well in most cases. It produces a good amount of smoke, and the ash is easy to handle.
Flavor
- One third: Delivers a mature tobacco flavor with black pepper in the background. The smoke is medium-bodied, almost mild, with increasing woody notes.
- Two thirds: Complexity increases with the addition of coffee flavors. It remains medium-bodied.
- Three thirds: Characterized by considerable complexity until the end.
Value
At £18 each, UK tobacco taxes may make it unaffordable for some.
