The Montecristo C is a Corona Gorda released in 2003 as a Limited Edition. It was initially disappointing but is now available again online and said to be at its peak after six years of aging.

Appearance

The wrapper is deep brown, veiny, and has a few wrinkles. The cigar is tightly packed, spongy, without knots or soft spots.

Taste Profile

• First Third: Cocoa, freshly roasted coffee, nut, and wood flavors. The draw is perfect, and it delivers thick creamy smoke. The burn is slightly uneven at first but evens out.
• Second Third: Wood, coffee, roasted almonds, and earth tones. It becomes full - bodied with a long finish. The burn and draw are perfect.
• Final Third: The cigar gets hot and spicy, making it hard to identify flavors. An early finish is common.
