Product Introduction

The Partagas Maduro No. 2 is a hand - made cigar from Cuba, with a Short Delvalle format. It was introduced during the XXth Habanos Festival in Havana. It comes in unvarnished SBN boxes of 25 cigars and has a second band with the vitola name.

Tasting Notes

  • Appearance: The wrapper is dark and shiny. The cigar has a supple and sticky texture, a compact module filled with tobacco, and a brown, earthy - looking filler.
  • First Third: The first puff is spicy. The burn is slow due to the heavy gauge and thick tobacco. It develops a light creaminess that balances the Partagas flavor. The strength starts as medium.
  • Second Third: The strength slowly increases, and flavors of earthiness, herbals (hay, black tea), and spicy tones (green pepper, black bean) are prominent.
  • Last Third: The wrapper's extra ageing effect fades, leaving a harsh feeling. The draw gets slightly obstructed. It leaves spices on the lips and a long, pleasant aftertaste. The strength reaches full - body.

The aromas are a combination of fermented wood and roasted coffee beans through thick smoke. It's recommended to age it for about a year to reduce the harshness in the last third. It can be considered an alternative to Montecristo Petit No.2 and Bolivar Belicosos Finos.
