, By: John Smith
  • Brand: Partagás

  • Ring Gauge: 50
  • Score: 3.5/5

General Information

The Partagás Serie D No. 6 is a Petit Robusto cigar released in 2014. It's hand - made in Cuba, with a box code of ELG NOV14. Each cigar costs around $8 - 10, and it comes in a pack of 5.

Appearance

Packed in a single layer in a modified wooden cabinet, it has a rich brown color, minimal spines and scarce blooming. It looks like the larger D4 but is shorter, with the same ring size.

Construction

The wrapper may separate at the foot upon clipping. It's very fragile. Lighting is effortless, with rich smoke and a light draw. The burn is consistent from foot to head, and the ash holds for some time.

Flavor

When lit, it has intense woody notes with a moderate aftertaste. It can be enjoyed right away, but aging may improve the flavor. The flavor is a bit "green". Although the smoke is short, the flavors are typical of Partagas.

Value

It offers good value for money. It has a big taste in a small package, convenient for those short on time, and may offer more flavors with aging.

Overall, it's a successful release. The main drawback is its short length. Given the chance, the reviewer would buy it again.
