General Information

This is a regional edition for Asia Pacific, released in 2007. It's a hand - made cigar. A box of 25 costs around $369. It's from Cuba and has a Robusto format.

Appearance

It has a shiny, oily natural brown wrapper with small veins. The cap is accurately applied, and the two bands look great. Appearance rating is 4.5/5.

Construction

The two cigars smoked for review had a comfortable draw with slight resistance. The burn line needed a couple of corrections. Construction rating is 4.5/5.

Flavor

  • Pre - light, notes of spice and sugar were detected.
  • First pulls after lighting are flavorless, but soon it has a combination of spice and sweetness, with caramel, honey, and black pepper.
  • In the second third, power increases, sweetness remains, and cedar flavors come forward, with a significant amount of earth in the bouquet.
  • In the last third, it becomes heavy as earth and wood push away the sweetness.

Value

The price of almost $15 per cigar (when bought by box) seems excessive compared to the Cohiba Robusto. Value rating is 3/5.

This cigar shows the benefits of ageing. It's recommended to pick up a box if it suits your taste.
