General Information

Originating from Cuba, this hand - made Petit Robusto cigar is priced at $14 each. It has a draw rating of 4/6, burn rating of 5/6, flavour rating of 3/6, aroma rating of 4/6, and strength rating of 3/6.

Tasting Details

The review was conducted indoors in a cigar lounge. The wrapper is milk - chocolate - colored, oily, silky smooth, and has tiny veins. The construction gives a firm and even feel. The cold draw offers light wood notes and nuttiness.

  • One third: It starts with a strong oak wood note, followed by salty peanuts and freshly ground coffee.
  • Two thirds: It retains the oak wood notes. Other notes turn to toasted bread and lightly roasted hazelnuts, with a faint hint of sweetness in the aftertaste.
  • Three thirds: It keeps the previous flavors and adds a peppery feeling on the lips.

The cigar burns steadily with a white - ish ash. The smoke is medium - voluminous and gives a medium - to - cool feeling on the tongue. The draw is a classic Cuban draw, a bit tighter but still perfect.

Conclusion

It is a medium - bodied cigar with a medium strength profile, suitable for late afternoon or evening smoking. It can be paired well with a dark rum like Havana Club 15 year old or a cup of coffee.
