Product Introduction

The Quai d'Orsay No. 50 is a Cuban hand - made cigar with a Serie D vitola (Petit Robusto). It's a good start for the renewed Quai D'Orsay brand. The draw on cold test is perfect, with subtle leather and cedar notes.

Taste Profile

  • One third: Subtle and smooth, hardly any sharpness. As it heats up, it becomes medium - bodied with hints of burnt caramel and more leather. Paired with expresso coffee.
  • Two thirds: Develops into a consistent medium cigar. Still has burnt caramel and leather, and retro - haling reveals salted cracker taste. At half of the second third, sharpness and ammonia appear.
  • Three thirds: Ammonia taste vanishes. Gets more salted cracker taste, and the cigar balances out well. Flavors include toffee, leather, cedar and roasted coffee beans.

The price of this single cigar is around 9 USD. The ash lasts consistently throughout the smoke. There's a dilemma of whether to age the rest of the box or smoke them as they are.
