Product Introduction

The Ramon Allones Club Allones was released in 2015 as a limited - edition cigar by Habanos S.A. It has a Club vitola, and each tobacco leaf has been aged for at least two years. It is hand - made and costs around $20 each.

Appearance

The cigars have oily maduro wrappers in a deep saturated brown color with prominent veins and a “wrinkly” appearance. The gold band is an accent. The cigar feels tightly packed.

Construction

Initially, the draw was close to ideal. However, the burn was a problem, requiring multiple major adjustments and the cigar went out twice.

Flavor

  • One third: Fairly enjoyable with notes of brown sugar, chocolate, natural tobacco, and lots of fruit.
  • Two thirds: Spicy notes came in while other flavors faded, and the spicy notes were muted.
  • Three thirds: An ammonia flavor emerged, making it the worst part.

It's likely a young cigar, and flavors may improve with age. Given the construction issues, it's a disappointment for the price at present.
