Product Introduction
The Ramón Allones Specially Selected Robusto Corto Edición Regional Países Bajos was released in 2013. It's a hand - made Petit Robusto from Cuba. Only 2,000 slide - lid cabinets were produced, with each cabinet containing 25 cigars. The price per cigar is about 9 EUR.
Appearance
The wrapper leaf is a warm, almost reddish - brown color. It has few visible veins, a smooth texture, and the right amount of oil. There's a small crack, but the cigar is evenly packed with no hard or soft spots. Pre - light, it smells of wood with a hint of spice.
Construction
The construction is nearly perfect. The draw is a bit tight. It produces thick, aromatic smoke, and the ash clings well. The burn can be uneven occasionally, but it's a minor issue.
Flavor
- One third: Tastes of earthy wood, pepper, nutty and roasted flavors, with a hint of citrus.
- Two thirds: The earthy background becomes more prominent, roasted nuts take the lead, and wood takes a backseat.
- Three thirds: The nutty flavor gets stronger, and there's a hint of sweetness, possibly cocoa and cream. There's sometimes an unwanted bitterness.
Overall, despite the minor flaws like the occasional uneven burn and bitterness, the cigar offers a pleasant and nuanced smoking experience. The flavors are well - balanced and consistent with subtle changes.
