Product Introduction
The Trinidad Ingenios Edición Limitada 2007 is a hand - made cigar from Cuba. It comes in a Lonsdale format, sized 167 x 16.67 mm with a ring gauge of 42. A box of 12 costs around $220.
Appearance
It has a maduro wrapper. While it looks good, it can't be compared to a Cohiba Genios. It got a 4/5 rating.
Construction
Pre - light, it has a spicy aroma. It has a good draw throughout the smoke and received a 4.5/5 rating for its construction.
Flavor
- One third: It starts with a powerful combination of woody and spicy flavors, especially white pepper.
- Two thirds: The woody and spicy flavors remain, along with rare cocoa notes.
- Three thirds: It becomes too strong. The expected stronger chocolate hints didn't materialize.
Value
It has a poor price/quality ratio. Even as a limited edition, it costs twice as much as some other cigars like Bolivar Inmensas or Sancho Panza Molinos, getting a 2.5/5 rating.
This was possibly Trinidad's first limited edition. The filler is aged for 2 years. With more work, Trinidad could produce more interesting cigars, but this Ingenios is a good start.
