Product Introduction

Vegueros released three new vitolas last year and changed its brand image. The Tapados is one of them, made in Western Cuba. It's now available globally.

Appearance

The brand's new image is shown on the box and band. The wrapper is a warm, medium brown with a glossy sheen, few faint veins, and a well - designed cap. The box has a black - and - white design with stripes and a new logo.

Construction

The draw has the right resistance, and the burn line is even throughout the smoke, requiring little correction.

Flavor

  • One third: wood, earth, a hint of cream, natural tobacco flavors, spicy notes, and aromatic smoke. There's ammonia harshness at the start.
  • Two thirds: Spiciness remains but is not overwhelming. Earth and wood are prominent, and the ammonia harshness decreases.
  • Three thirds: Spices come back, with plenty of wood and cream. It's a bit harsh and bitter at the nub.

Value

It costs about $6 per stick, which is reasonably priced.

Previously, there were four vitolas in the Vegueros line: Especial No. 1, Especial No. 2, Mareva, and Seoane. Compared to the Mañanitas, the Tapados is a little less interesting. The harshness and lack of flavor complexity may improve as the tobacco ages.
