Origin and Blend

The name Magic Toast originated when Ralph Montero and Alan Rubin inspected tobacco fields. Delayed in their flight, they toasted the high - quality tobacco they saw. This blend uses Honduran and Nicaraguan tobaccos. The wrapper is Honduran, with binders from both countries and fillers also a mix of the two. It's made at Raices Cubanas, one of Alec Bradley's three factories.

Appearance

It has one of the darkest, oily wrappers on the current market. The blue ring is detailed, with a font reminiscent of old - school magic shows. The paper and print quality are good, and the construction feels solid. It has a strong aroma of wood and hay.

Taste Profile

  • One third: Cold draw tastes of raw tobacco with a hint of dark chocolate. Once lit, there are peppery dried grass, coffee, and a lot of dark chocolate. After a few puffs, leather flavors emerge, with dark chocolate as the main flavor.
  • Two thirds: Halfway through, flavors include coffee with chocolate, leather, hay, and dried leaves. Chocolate remains the base flavor, with varying levels of pepper, leather, wood, spices, and hay.

Smoking Experience

The draw is great. The ash is light - colored and firm. The smoke gets thicker as you progress. The burn needed early correction. It's a medium - bodied, full - flavored cigar, well - balanced with many nuances.

Additional Information

Other sizes in this blend are a 6×52 toro and a 6×60 Gordo. Price is € 7,90. Recommended cutter is Xikar X2, and a single - flame lighter. Best smoked indoors with a ventilator.
