Trinidad Cigars

Trinidad is a Cuban cigar brand founded in 1969. Originally created as diplomatic gifts for foreign dignitaries, it remained a secret until its public release in 1998. The brand is named after the UNESCO World Heritage city of Trinidad in southern Cuba. Production began at El Laguito factory, the same facility where Cohiba cigars are made, using tobacco from Cuba's Vuelta Abajo region.

Key product lines include:

- Trinidad Fundadores: The original size (192mm x 40 ring gauge) with medium-bodied flavors of cedar and earth.

- Trinidad Reyes: A smaller format (110mm x 40) offering cream, pepper, and nut notes.

- Trinidad Vigia: A short, thick cigar (110mm x 54) with woody and spicy flavors.

- Trinidad Media Luna: A 2019 release (115mm x 50) featuring earth, leather, and coffee notes.

Trinidad cigars are known for their tapered "pigtail" caps and medium-bodied profiles. The brand expanded in 2019 with three new sizes for its 50th anniversary. Current production includes 8 regular sizes, ranging from 40 to 56 ring gauge.

The cigars use Cuban tobacco from Vuelta Abajo, with wrapper leaves aged for at least 3 years. Trinidad remains one of Cuba's most exclusive brands, with limited annual production.
