Rocky Patel The Edge Corojo Missile

The Rocky Patel The Edge Corojo Missile packs serious attitude into its 5-inch figurado frame. This box-pressed torpedo shows off a dark Honduran Corojo Maduro wrapper that's been aging for five years - you can practically smell the nicotine through the cellophane. At under $7 per stick, it's punching way above its price class with Nicaraguan binder/filler tobaccos that deliver the brand's signature power.

Smoke Session Breakdown

First Third: Immediate black pepper slap wakes up your palate. Leather and burnt coffee grounds dominate, with oily smoke that clings to your tongue. The draw starts tight but opens up after half-inch.

Middle Third: Nicaraguan fillers shift gears - think dark chocolate nibs dipped in espresso. There's a sneaky sweet undertone like charred marshmallow crust. Smoke output turns voluminous, perfect for ring blowing.

Final Third: Cedar plank notes emerge as the burn line approaches the band. Final inch gets earthy with wet soil/mineral vibes. Strength builds steadily - newer smokers should nub it before the last inch.

Factory Notes

Rolled at Rocky's El Paraiso factory in Honduras (opened 2017), these get six months' aging post-roll. The Corojo wrapper undergoes double fermentation - first natural heap process, then kiln-dried. This explains the maduro-like sweetness despite being technically a natural wrapper.
