General Information

The Fonseca Delicias Cigar is from Fonseca Cigars, known for light - flavoured Cuban cigars. It has a Petit Corona vitola. Originating from Cuba, it's hand - made, with a smoking time of 35 min and costs about $3 each.

Appearance

The wrapper is rough and bumpy, with long and thick veins, many water spots. The cap is darker than the rest of the wrapper. Before lighting, only a bit of pepper on the foot could be detected.

Construction

The pre - draw and initial draw were tight. After the first third, it opened up. The ash was flaky and didn't hold for more than one inch. The burn was good throughout.

Flavor

  • First third: The pre - draw had simple mild tobacco. The first puffs had rare, bland smoke with sugary and syrupy notes. Overall, it was rated 1 out of 5.
  • Second third: Wood was added to the flavor. Around the half - mark, there were pleasant espresso notes, the sweetness decreased, the smoke thickened, and it became almost medium - bodied with a distinguishable pepper background.
  • Last third: Flavors got more intense. Leather and black pepper notes made the finish enjoyable.

Value

A box costs between $50 and $80. It's one of the cheapest Cuban cigars, and considering the price, the value is decent.

Overall, it's a decent Cuban cheap smoke that was better in the second half, perhaps worth trying but not necessarily box - worthy for some tastes.
