Product Introduction

The Magnum 54 is the latest addition to the H. Upmann range. It has the widest girth in the brand's standard portfolio and comes in SLB boxes of 25 and 10. It was launched in March 2016 at the 18th Festival des Habanos and became available in 2017.

Appearance

The wrapper has a Colorado maduro color, is quite veiny, and has two bands. It's soft and velvety, with little oil, indicating high - quality leaves.

Construction

Rolled in a trendy vitola, it's eye - catching. The cold draw is smooth and broad. When lit, it burns evenly, with dark gray, solid ash and high - density smoke.

Flavor

  • First Third: Light to medium strength, with creamy texture. Flavors include sweetness balanced by acidity, coffee beans, cocoa, sweet spice, cedar, and a nutty aftertaste.
  • Second Third: Medium strength, increased creaminess and sweetness. Draw is slightly tighter. Dominant flavors are honey, vanilla, coffee, cocoa, with more leathery and earthy notes.
  • Final Third: Fuller flavor, with sweet, woody, and spicy notes, balanced and not overwhelming.

Value

Despite higher UK prices due to taxation, it's a well - made cigar with complex flavors, making it worth the price.

Originating from Cuba's Robusto Extra factory, hand - made, and using long fillers from Vuelta Abajo, this cigar is suitable for both occasional and regular smokers.
