Product Introduction

Le Hoyo du Prince is a hand - made Cuban cigar from Cuba. It comes in the Almuerzos (petit coronas) format and has a light flavour. The price is € 7,90 / $ 9.30 each.

Taste Profile

  • First third: In a pre - draw, it tickles the lips with spice notes. In the first third, there are lots of light honey flavour, a bit of cedar or other wood, and a range of peppered spice notes.
  • Middle third: The honey flavour shifts to something more nutty with less spice. There is often a dull patch, and it's best to puff occasionally until more flavour returns towards the end of this phase.
  • Final third: It becomes a more interesting cigar again, with some surprising strength, and flavours of nuts, wood, and some spice (less clear than in the first section).

Other Information

The Hoyo du Prince can vary a little towards the thicker side, similar to a Cuban Mareva. Hoyo de Monterrey is catalogued as 'light' in flavour strength by Habanos. Hoyo doesn't have lower - price offerings compared to some sister brands. The Le Hoyo series is good - looking but not perfect in appearance. Hoyo de Monterrey was registered in Cuba in 1865 by José Gener, who started working in Cuban fields at 13 in 1831.
