Introduction
We had the chance to review the new Gloria Cubana Orgullosos, the upcoming Swiss Regional Edition. Intertabak, the Swiss distributor for Habanos S.A, may add a collector humidor to the normal box release. The pre - release cigar wears one band, and the final version will have red and grey double bands indicating "Exclusio Suiza".
Cigar Review
At the start, the draw is great, important for a long cigar. The burn is very good right away, unlike some moist pre - releases. The cigar starts light and smooth then quickly becomes stronger.
One third
- Flavours include woodiness, sweetness, and dried fruit notes.
- It has a medium finish with a dry freshness.
- A beautiful grey ash forms.
Two thirds
- It gets a bit bitter but not harsh, with ammonia notes typical of a fresh cigar.
- The draw is slightly harder, and smoke density is lower initially but increases.
- There's a dry palate feeling with a nutty finish, and leathery texture appears.
Three thirds
- It becomes very strong, young with high acidity.
- Vanilla, dark coco bean, and creamy texture appear.
- The end has a sweet aromatic palate with dark chocolate and caramel hints.
