Product Introduction

The Romeo y Julieta Wide Churchill is a Toro - format cigar introduced in 2010. It's shorter and thicker than the original Churchill. Since 2006, Habanos has introduced several new Romeo y Julieta sizes with the Churchill name.

It's made in Cuba, with a wrapper, binder, and filler all from Cuba. It costs € 13.40 in the Netherlands.

Appearance and Aroma

The cigar is nicely shaped with no veins on the wrapper. It's Colorado - colored with a triple cap. The rings look good together. The aroma is mildly toasted.

Taste Profile

  • First Third: Dried spices, cedar, sweetness, pepper, grass, coffee. Later, cedar and citrus enter, with a dry mouthfeel and vanilla sweetness and floral notes.
  • Second Third: More dry leather, floral notes, cedar, vanilla, and a bit of pepper.
  • Final Third: Typical Cuban flavors like leather, coffee, cedar, a little spice, nuts, and more black pepper.

Smoking Experience

The cold draw is fine. The draw during smoking is good, and the smoke is thick, light blue, and in good volume. The ash is white with darker smears. The burn is straight. It has medium strength and flavor and takes two hours and ten minutes to smoke.
