Introduction

The Cohiba Siglo I is the smallest in the Cohiba range, part of the Siglo collection for Columbus's 500th anniversary of discovering Cuba. It has a Perla vitola, 102mm long with a 40 ring gauge.

It has an oily Colorado shade wrapper, nicely applied, and appears well - made. Appearance rating: 4/5.

Construction

During the first half, the draw was a bit tight. After the mid - point, it opened up well. It burns fairly straight. The head seems loosely packed, but the rest is not. Construction rating: 4/5.

Flavor

• First half: Creamy with lingering bitterness and a surprising pepperiness.
• Second half: Bitterness fades, espresso replaces pepper, and it tastes like a latte at the end. Flavor rating: 5/5.

Value

It's a small cigar but expensive for its size as a Cohiba. If you can afford it and like half coronas, it's worth buying a box. Value rating: 3/5.
