Product Introduction
The Ramón Allones Superiores is a La Casa del Habano - specific release. It was supposed to be on the shelves in 2010, but in early 2011, it wasn't available in some LCDH stores. The reviewer finally got a pack in February 2012 in Rome.
Appearance
It has a gorgeous light - brown wrapper without any glitches and seems well - constructed. Rating: 5/5.
Construction
Most specimens were well - constructed. However, one had a slightly tighter draw than the reviewer's comfort zone. They burned beautifully outdoors, producing thick white smoke. Rating: 4.5/5.
Flavor
- First third: After initial spice, it's rather delicate and a bit short of medium - bodied, with coffee, cocoa, and nuts flavors.
- Second third: Flavors become more intense, pepper reappears, body is medium, and smoke is fresh and smooth.
- Last third: A bit of leather and hints of wood are added, and rare vegetable notes were present throughout, but it doesn't taste young.
Rating: 4.5/5.
Value
The reviewer can't remember the exact price, probably around 10 EUR per stick. They can be bought cheaper by the box (7.5 EUR / $10 per stick). Rating: 4/5.
The Ramón Allones Superiores has great potential and the reviewer plans to buy a couple of 10 - count boxes as only 5,000 boxes were made.
