, By: John Smith
  • Brand: Montecristo
  • Length: 129 mm
  • Ring: 42
  • Score: Overall rating is high with appearance, construction, flavor getting 4.5/5, value getting 4/5

General Information

The Montecristo No. 4 is a Petit Corona (Mareva) format cigar hand - made in Cuba. It has a size of 129 x 16.67 mm, a ring gauge of 42, and weighs 8.46 g. It costs 7.40€ each.

Appearance

It has a maduro wrapper that is oily and silky.

Construction

Though there are rumors of extremely tight draw making it unsmokeable, usually the construction is good. The burn is even, and the only drawback might be the amount of smoke.

Flavor

  • One third: A little earthy
  • Two thirds: Delivers a lot of spice
  • Three thirds: Soft notes of cocoa and coffee appear

Value

It offers rather good value as it is less expensive than Cohiba Siglo II or Trinidad Reyes, but there are cheaper marevas like Punch Petit Coronas.

It's worth noting that in Dubai, Cuban cigars are more expensive compared to France. The Montecristo No. 4 is one of the best - selling cigars globally and provides a decent 40 - minutes smoke.
