General Information

These cigars are from 2014, with a Robusto format, sized 124 x 19.84 mm (4 7/8 x 50). They are hand - made in Cuba. The box code is ULA Jun14, and there are 25 cigars per box. The price is about $550 USD for 50 cigars.

Appearance

From the first to the 50th cigar, they were consistent in size, shape, density, appearance, and construction. Each was perfectly wrapped and capped, with no blooming, discoloration, or noticeable spines. The wrapper seams were flawless with perfect oiling.

Construction

The cigars had zero construction issues. The burn was consistent, with no need for correction and zero wrapper separation. Lighting was easy, with a barely noticeable restricted draw. They could be enjoyed from start to finish.

Flavor

  • One third: Typical earthy and nutty notes are present, with hints of chocolate/espresso, marzipan, citrus, and cedar starting to peek in.
  • Two thirds: Earthy and nutty flavors continue, and the hints of other flavors become more distinct.
  • Three thirds: The same flavors persist until the end. It's recommended to smoke it slowly, which can turn it into a 60 - 75 minute smoke.

Value

At over $10 US per cigar, it's a bit pricey. But compared to its 225th Anniversary cousin, you get more tobacco for half the price.
