Appearance

The Davidoff Signature No. 2 has hardly any visible veins. Its Connecticut Shade wrapper has darkened with age, and the cellophane indicates it has been resting for a long time.

Draw and Lighting

The pre - light draw is firm but yielding. The draw was a bit tight in the first inch or so and then opened up as it was smoked.

Taste Profile

  • First Third: The first flavors include the distinct Davidoff/Kelner mustiness, with an aroma rich in sweet cream. The smoke has a chewy quality.
  • Second Third: Half - way through, there's a hint of leather and a lot of wood. The exhale is rich with coffee beans and nuts.
  • Last Third: The last half offers a smooth burn, lots of smoke, and rich woody, nutty flavors with a bit of coffee.

Ash and Burn

The ash burns white - hot and takes time to work down the cigar. It drops off after an inch and a half, and the burn is even.

The Davidoff Signature No. 2 is a 10 - year - old, hand - made mild cigar with a Dominican filler and binder. Despite being mild, it's full of flavor.
