Appearance

The wrapper is dark and a bit coarse. The cigar is surprisingly light. The pre - draw has an earthy smell.

Construction

Clipping, lighting, and drawing are easy. It produces a lot of thick white smoke. The burn becomes irregular in the second third and stays that way until the end.

Flavor

  • One third: It starts spicy and dynamic, with heavy earthy notes appearing near the end of the first third.
  • Two thirds: The taste becomes lighter and almost elegant, with vanilla and cedar flavors.
  • Three thirds: Earthy scents return, skillfully combined with woody notes.

Value

The Habanos Seleccion Piramides is sold at around $120 for 5 cigars, about $24 per stick. It's expensive but reasonable for a limited - edition cigar.

The cigar is part of the Pirámides regular production size. The Montecristo No.2 is from the Piramides factory with dimensions Ring gaugerg52 × LengthMMT156mm (6⅛″). The price of each Hoyo de Monterrey is around $25.
