General Information

The AVO 22 (European) is a hand - made cigar. Its origin is the Dominican Republic. The wrapper is Ecuadorian Sun Grown, the filler and binder are Dominican. It costs $15+ each. This blend led to the AVO 787 and it's the only limited - edition with a different sized European release. The original AVO 22 had a ring gauge of 50, while the European one is 41 due to Europeans' historical preference for thinner cigars.

Appearance

This 7 - year - old Avo 22 has a satiny brown color, a dull sheen, and is not very oily. The veins are almost invisible, and the foot of the perfecto is finely pointed, almost looking closed.

Taste Profile

  • Second Third: As approaching the bulge, the sweetness intensifies, giving notes of licorice and coffee. The burn is even.
  • Last Third: Rich and creamy, with tons of cocoa, espresso and chocolate.
