General Information

The CAO Brazilia Gol! is a hand - made Robusto cigar. It has a Brazilian wrapper and Nicaraguan filler and binder. Each cigar costs around $6.

Tasting Notes

  • Initial Impression: The outside smells of musty earth, and the cut end presents a cream scent. The wrapper is dark brown, slightly toothy, with tight and invisible seams. The filler is a bit lighter than the wrapper, and the pack is firm. The first tastes are woody, meaty, tart with a touch of sweetness. There's a tiny bit of spice on the linger, and the finish is short. The draw is snug, and the burn is slow with a steady amount of smoke.
  • First Third: The flavor profile remains unchanged. The ash starts grey and turns brown, holding to nearly halfway. The flavor and body are at the high - end of medium. It's mostly woody with raisiny dried fruit notes, especially in the off - smoke.
  • Second Half: It smokes well past halfway. After an hour, reaching the final third, the flavor is the same but more cooked. There's little strength. Down to the last inch, there's more ash than cigar, indicating good construction. The taste has mellowed, with no bitterness or over - charring.
