CAO Brazilia Lambada (6×50) Cigar Review

, By: John Smith
  • Brand Name: CAO Brazilia Lambada
  • Length: 6 inches
  • Ring Gauge: 50
  • Score: 4/5

Origin and Format

The CAO Brazilia Lambada is from Honduras and has a Toro format. Its size is 152 x 20 mm with a ring of 50. The wrapper is from Brazil, while the filler and binder are from Nicaragua. It is hand - made and priced at around $5 each.

Appearance

The 6 x 50 Toro Lambada vitola has a dark Brazilian wrapper that looks good and smells of chocolate. The band might evoke thoughts of Rio de Janeiro beaches, the carnival, and the 1994 World Cup in the USA.

Construction

Unlike the CAO Italia, the construction of the Lambada is impeccable. It is regularly packed, easy to cut and light, and smokes beautifully.

Flavor

The flavor disappointed. It was bland and grassy with occasional coffee notes. There was no real flavor evolution, and the smoke left the mouth very dry. The reviewer put it out in the beginning of the last third.

Value

The reviewer will wait before buying more CAO cigars, except perhaps the LX2/MX2 series.

There are rumors that the blend for Brazilias has been changed. If true, it might explain why the reviewer didn't like the cigar as much as earlier reviewers.
