General Information

The Camacho Connecticut cigars are hand - made. They originate from Honduras, come in a 11/18 Toro format. The wrapper is Ecuadorian grown Connecticut, the filler contains Honduran and Dominican tobacco, and the binder is Honduran. Each cigar costs $7.

Taste Profile

  • First few draws: Full and spicy, with black pepper and a slightly acrid dry wood flavor.
  • After settling: The Ecuadorian wrapper brings creamy notes and some coffee. A bit of Honduran spiciness from the binder and filler provides a nice balance. The Dominican tobacco may tone down the power of the Honduran tobacco. The result is a medium - bodied cigar with a touch of spice.

When Davidoff announced the purchase of Camacho Cigars, many predicted a Camacho with a Connecticut wrapper and Dominican tobacco in the filler, which led to the release of the Camacho Connecticut. This cigar can be compared to Oliva’s Nicaraguan Connecticut Reserve as a relatively robust Connecticut offering.
