Product Introduction
The Camacho Corojo Machito is a hand-rolled Honduran cigar made from selected vintage tobaccos. It's the only Honduran puro with Corojo wrapper, binder, and filler. The brand is named after Simon Camacho, the founder in the 1960s. 'Corojo' refers to a legendary Cuban tobacco wrapper leaf. 'Machito' is the term for these petit panetelas, often sold in tins of 6 at Davidoff stores, which sometimes sell them individually.
Tasting
- First Third: After punching, the pre-draw has spice and sweet citrus. When lit, it offers citrus, nuts, and a wood fire flavor at first, then mostly sweet citrus and woodiness, with occasional barbecue notes. The draw is great, but the first half burns quickly.
- Middle Third: It starts with rich flavor and a full - bodied sense. As it reaches the mid - point, the flavor turns darker and bitter but not unpleasant, like tasting fruit pits or walnut shells.
- Final Third: The bitter tone fades, and a nutty flavor dominates, with occasional citrus fruitiness. The ash is a nice grayish white, holding for about half - an inch.
The cigar is a good short smoke for the price, offering lots of flavor. It's a great way to experience this rich flavor palette, though it may lack the depth of more expensive cigars. It's a long - filler cigar, as verified by cutting it open.
