Product Introduction

The CAO America Potomac was introduced at the 2007 RTDA trade show in Houston, Texas. It has a Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro and Connecticut Shade wrapper, Brazilian binder, and a filler of Dominican, Nicaraguan, Italian, and American (100% Ligero). It's hand - made and costs $8 each. Available in six sizes, all with a ring gauge of 50 or above.

Taste Profile

• One third: The flavors start smooth. Strong notes of leather and damp earth dominate. It's medium - bodied and mild - strength at the start.
• Two thirds: The flavors remain mostly the same, with lots of leather and earth and some occasional creamy notes. The body and strength don't change much.

Other Features

The burn was impressive. Despite having two different wrappers, it burned straight. The ash was white and well - formed, holding on tightly. However, the large ring gauge of the Potomac was uncomfortable for the reviewer. Overall, it's a medium - bodied smoke, not as full - bodied as expected, but with decent flavors and impeccable construction.
