Taste Profile

  • One third: The first two puffs were full - bodied with spices and leathery texture. Then it settled to medium strength with soft spiciness, high acidity, and a long finish of cedar wood notes. The draw was pleasant with a vegetal aroma. Towards the end, leathery texture was replaced by soft creaminess, and acidity decreased.
  • Two thirds: It was more linear. Creamy texture was present, and high sweetness dominated. Notes of cinnamon and cardamom were prominent. The burn was impeccable, and the smoke amount was constant.
  • Three thirds: It didn't need relighting. The tobacco never felt bitter. Sweetness and soft texture remained, and flavours got richer. The initial spiciness returned a bit late.

The Arturo Fuente Opus X line is produced in small quantities and has a great reputation in the Dominican Republic. It's suitable for special occasions, offering rich flavours and aromas for those not seeking high - complexity cigars.
