  • Brand Name: ASHTON VSG Enchantment
  • Length: 4.38 inches
  • Ring Gauge: 60
  • Score: 3/5

General Information

The ASHTON VSG Enchantment is hand - made in the Dominican Republic. It has a perfecto format. The wrapper, filler, and binder all come from the Dominican Republic. It costs about $9 - 10 each and comes in a box of 22.

Appearance

It has a mocha - colored sun - grown wrapper with a red and gold striped band and a golden Ashton crest. It has a rugged appearance with light veins and tooth, similar to the Hemingway Work of Art Maduro.

Taste

  • One third: A pre - light draw is somewhat loose, with sweet earth, cocoa, and peppery notes. The first few puffs carry the same flavors. As it burns past the larger shoulder, the draw tightens, and more smoke and flavors emerge.
  • Two thirds: Earth and leather are the dominant tones, with a bit of vanilla and some cocoa. The flavors keep building.
  • Three thirds: Pairing it with a home - brewed scotch ale makes a coffee flavor stand out.

Drawbacks

The initial inch and a half is flat. The ash remains rather loose. The reviewer doesn't think it's worth spending $10 for only 2 inches of positive experience.
