Product Introduction

The AVO XO Intermezzo comes in a pack of 20 and is made from aged Dominican tobaccos. It offers flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices. The wrapper is Connecticut, filler and binder are Dominican, and it's hand-made.

Appearance

The wrapper is shiny and silky. Usually, major veins are hardly visible. It's a few tints darker than claro Davidoff wrappers, rated 5/5.

Construction

The XO series generally has decent construction. The draw is close to perfect. There might be occasional funneling, but the burn is above average. Firmly packed, it produces creamy white smoke, rated 4/5.

Flavor

  • It's a medium-bodied mild robusto. It doesn't have complex or profound flavors. If you like spice and full-strength, it may not impress you.
  • If you prefer smooth, mild, creamy smokes with woody, nutty, and coffee flavors, it's worth a try, rated 4.5/5.

Value

It might seem a bit expensive, but offers decent value when bought by box, rated 3.5/5.

Origin: Dominican Republic. Format: Robusto. Price: ~$7 each.
