CAO Gold Vintage Cremant cigars are made in Esteli, Nicaragua. They are Toro cigars with a 6-inch length and 52 ring size. The wrapper is Ecuadorian Connecticut Seed from the 2004 “banner harvest”, with a velvety smooth touch and minimal veining. The filler is from Nicaragua, and the binder includes Honduras (Jamastran) and Nicaragua (Esteli). They are hand - made and come in a box of 10, priced at about $8.25 each.
Taste Profile
- One third: There is a subtle sweetness in the draw. It offers smooth nutty and creamy flavors, with an aroma of vanilla and carmel. The body starts mild.
- Two thirds: The finish becomes very nice, and the body develops into a pleasant medium range.
- Three thirds: The draw flavors remain mild, but the spicy retrohale reminds of the use of Habano fillers.
Appearance

Construction
It is spongy - firm from head to foot, firmer at the foot. The cap comes off easily. The pre - light draw is medium - tight, then turns to a full medium draw. The burn requires a lot of maintenance, and the ash may pull to one side and crack prematurely.
